Tutorial: Carbon Fiber

In this tutorial, I will teach you how to create a carbon fiber textue to use in your next layout or design. You can also use it to turn your exsisting car into a car with a carbon fiber hood, or trunk. With some tweaking, you will be able to give the carbon fiber a great look. Carbon Fiber will really highlight the areas where you do not know what to put there.

Lets begin:

Step One

Create a new document that is 4×4 (Pixels) with a transparent background.

Step Two

Zoom all the way into the image by holding down CTRL and hitting the + sign.

Step Three

Select your pen tool with 1 pixel.

Step Four

With Black (#000000), draw two dots in the top right hand corner:

Step Five

Continue doing that with the following colors:
#B7B7B7 #000000
#595959 #2E2E2E
#131313 #B7B7B7
#2E2E2E #595959
You will have somthing like this:

Step Six

Next, Goto EDIT at the top, and select Define Pattern. Name it Carbon Fiber

Step Seven

Create a new document at any size you wish. Go to EDIT>FILL. Change the settings to this:

Step Eight

Hit OK. Now you have your carbon fiber!
